Where to Park in VERNAZZA
VERNAZZA, like many villages in the Cinque Terre, has limited vehicle access. It’s important to note that parking spaces are limited, so we recommend booking parking in advance if possible. Alternatively, taking the train is the most convenient and practical way to travel between the Cinque Terre villages. The train station in Vernazza is well connected, and it allows you to avoid the hassle of finding parking while still enjoying the beauty of the area. And if you prefer to travel without any stress you can still opt for a private car transfer choosing one of our professional and trusted companies with preferred access to the entrance of the pedestrian area.
VERNASSOA CAR PARKING - top area
This is one of the 2 car parking areas for non-residents. They are located about 1 KM above town.
You will meet them along the road that takes down to Vernazza village. The Top one is on your left going down, signaled by flags.
Both of them during day time offer shuttle service to the village.

Do not drive past the car parking since tourist vehicles are not admitted past the traffic bar limiting the village residential area.
VERNASSOA CAR PARKING - low area
This is the lower of the 2 car parking areas for non-residents. They are located about 1 KM above town.
You will meet them along the road that takes down to Vernazza village. The Lower one is on your right going down, with a large Iron Gate. It offers an electric car charging area, standard type.
Both of them during day time offer shuttle service to the village.

HOW TO REACH VERNAZZA BY TRAIN
Train is the easiest and cheapest way to travel to the Cinque Terre. We recommend to buy your tickets online in advance, but consider that Trenitalia publishes train schedules normally in April for the Summer Season and in September for the Winter Season, so expect to see a reduced schedule when consulting the timetable many months before travel date.
HIKING FROM VERNAZZA
For centuries, the Cinque Terre paths were the only link between one village and another and between these and the hinterland.
Today the network, which extends for more than 120 kilometres, allows you to appreciate and discover the territory, through different types of paths.
We therefore remind you that the Cinque Terre National Park paths should always be accessed in good weather conditions, which suitable footwear and by experienced hikers.
