Guest Review

This apartment was absolutely perfect for my mother, sister and I. I highly recommend if for friends, or small families up to 4 people. It was very clean, and well maintained. It had everything one needs for a holiday house, and it was so nice to be supplied with things like olive oil and salt and coffee. Beautiful views from the balcony and kitchen. The host was very accommodating for our arrival time (which I was quite late in communicating), and provided us with very clear instructions on how everything in the house works.
The climb up the stairs (only about 120 steps) was excellent exercise after eating so much of the great food available!!
It really was perfect for us, and I hope you will enjoy this cute little property. Although there was no internet in the house (we didn’t really care as we were so tired at the end of each day that we slept like babies) it was also a great price comparatively to many other properties that I searched in Cinque Terre.

I was so impressed with this apartment, I really didn’t want to go home. Wonderful views, spacious, clean and well stocked with the basics (tea, coffee, cold drinks and a welcome bottle of wine).
The host was lovely, meeting us near the apartment went we arrived.
The only draw back I can think of are the steps and the train can be heard from the apartment, but all the apartments in this area are in a similar position.
    A wonderful holiday.

This place is a little piece of heaven in Monteresso – excellent location – steps away from train station, off Via Fegina, which is their main boardwalk, but ensure you are packed light!! I cannot stress that enough – There is a steady climb to the top and could be strenuous is you are not up to the hike or if you have a heavy load. Laure the host, thought of every detail and everything is as presented. If you are a lover of a hot shower after a day on the beach, be prepared for lukewarm at best. With the heat it was tolerable, but in cooler temperatures, I imagine this can be an issue.

The apartment, situated 122 steps above the beach of Fegina in Monterosso, offered a perfect place for our family holiday in the Cinque terre. It is a light, well-kept, well equipped and charming holiday apartment with stunning views of the sea and the rocky promontory of Monterosso al mare. Our host was informative and very welcoming – they even supplied us with a welcoming bottle of wine and our first breakfast. We were never bothered by the sound of the passing trains, neither was our little toddler – it was just part of the experience of staying in a small city depending on train-travel. All amenities of the small town: restaurants, shops and beaches are within easy walking distance.

Laure was an amazing host and the lovely welcome pack of wine, faccacia, fruit and breakfast supplies was much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble.

it was worth all the stairs for an amazing view and the sound of the sea made sleeping easy.

The beach in Monterosso is the beast of the Cinque Terra.

The amenities at Apartment BellaVista were fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting some relaxing time at the great beach Monterosso has to offer as well as visiting the surrounding towns during the day.

Excellent apartment. Plenty of goodies for us on arrival. Great place to relax with great views and a well decorated interior. Easily our best accommodation of the 4 week trip.

Thank you Laure for being a fabulous host and allowing us to enjoy the place. It is a lovely apartment tastefully furnished which enjoys a patio with table and chairs and a very large and sunny balcony. We loved relaxing there in the evening after our walks away from the crowds. The apartment allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds; its convenient for the beach and the restaurants but far enough above the crowds to enjoy the peace and the sound of the sea. I strongly recommend the accommodation.

For us, this was the ideal base to enjoy the sights of Cinque Terre, Portofino and Portovenere. The apartment is very well-located, close to the station, with wonderful views over the sea and also the hills to the side. It is above the hustle and bustle of Monterosso, yet close to restaurants and shops. It is very well fitted-out, spacious, light and airy, with lovely outside spaces also. There were maps, books, plenty of towels, soaps and other supplies. There are two bedrooms and very comfortable living and dining areas and very good kitchen and bathroom. There were generous extras provided to welcome us and to ensure we enjoyed our stay, from the moment we arrived. Laure is a designer by profession and this is evident in the presentation of the apartment, which is very attractive, comfortable and well-considered. Whilst it is a steep walk up from the beach, it is worth every step to enjoy the views, which are simply magical, both in the day and the night.

This apartment is well worth the walk up the stairs. We had a wonderful stay there it had everything we needed. The views were wonderful. The welcoming wine, fruit and breakfast was much appreciated. Plenty of room for family of four. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. Monterosso was a great location for exploring the beautiful cinque terre area.

Laure is a great host. She was always prompt with her communication. The arrival to the apartment was easy and her directions very clear and easy to locate her on arrival. Although, please note there are 125 steps up-to the apartment so either pack light or be prepared for the steps. On arrival at the apartment there was mineral water, fresh fruits & a bottle of wine to welcome us. The apartment is just like the photos, the view is even better. The kitchen is well stocked with everyday needs, washing machine and clothes airer. There is a connivence store just around the corner, a wonderful bakery close by. Downstairs the wine bar make a great coffee(cappuccino) and the Cantina Miky has great food. We also ate in the Old Town as well which is about a 5 minute walk away.
The apartment is above the train line as the train line is very central in Monterosso. The apartment has double glazing on most windows and shutters which block out most of the noise at night. It wasn’t a problem for us but l thought l would mention it.
Monterosso was my favourite town. Central for hikes, great beaches and many dining options.
I highly recommend this apartment. We are a family of 4 with children 10 & 7 years.

It was a nice welcome, the owner awaited our family on the boulevard, to guide us up the long steps. The climb uphill is a bit of a challenge with heavy luggage, but we were prepared for this. And the reward when you arrive in the apartment is great. Beautiful spot, lots of privacy and clean space. The balcony on the southwest side with view on the bay of Monterosso is breathtaking and all yours. The house is on top of the train tunnel. You hear the trains pass, but it didn’t bother us in the least. No wifi, but who cares with a view on the sea like this. Monterosso is small, lively and sympathetic Italian village. We had a great time. Hope to come back some day!

Very nice place! The best until now. We loved the view from the balcony. Everything was clean and tidy. The location was very good, near railway station and the beach. Short way to everything, especially to reach the other 5 towns and Levanto. We will be back

A home away from home with views to die for!

We booked this cottage with a little trepidation as there was a note indicating that you should be fit to book it due to the 130 steps from the street below. Although it was an effort with luggage, this 64 & 70 year old couple managed it and the views are well worth it. We had 6 days here & it soon became a home away from home. Spacious and airy rooms with everything you need (although some instructions in English on the washing machine might have prevented the several difficult conversations I had with it whilst trying to coax it to wash, rinse & spin in that order and not for hours on each cycle!) My husband was also confounded by the television which worked perfectly the first night but declared every night thereafter that there was no signal! Leaving these minor niggles aside, we enjoyed breakfasts overlooking the sea on the balcony each morning & a “vino” each afternoon in the little courtyard in the shade. It became so like home that I even found myself watering the flower pots one hot day! Monterosso can become crowded & noisy at times and we loved the fact that while the restaurants & shops were only a short distance away, we could climb the steps to our oasis whenever we wanted!
