While Rome-Fiumicino is a major international hub, there are no direct flights to the Cinque Terre. The closest airports are Pisa (PSA) and Genoa (GOA). But  consider nowadays flights from Roime to Pisa and Genoa are quite a few and sometimes it is a better opriot to travel by train directly to the Cinque Terre or hire a professional driver with privileged access to the small Cinque Terre Villages.

Fly from Rome to Pisa (~1 hour), then take a train to La Spezia and continue on the Cinque Terre Express. Pisa International Airport has a frequent train shuttle service to Pisa Centrale train station. Access is from the main level of the airport, at the opposite side of terminal arrivals area.
