This summer, Vernazza revealed its new heart to the world: the completely renovated Piazzetta dei Caduti, a space reborn in stone and poetry — where tradition and memory meet under the Ligurian sky.

Crafted tile by tile by the mosaic masters of the San Luca Workshop, the piazza was officially inaugurated in the presence of local authorities, architects, and the community.

– Marco Fenelli, Mayor of Vernazza
– Francesco Villa, former Mayor
– Giacomo Raul Giampedrone, Regional Councillor for Infrastructure
– Lead architects Tiziana Dangelantonio and Simone Moggia (Studio KK)
– And Tofa, the poet of Vernazza’s soul

🪨 On this special occasion, a commemorative plaque was also unveiled — a touching dedication to the fallen in wars, to whom the square has been dedicated, written in local dialect by Tofa himself.
It celebrates not only their memory, but also the rebirth of the piazza as a place of gathering, beauty, and shared identity.
